The newest addition to Hololive DEV_IS, namely, FLOW GLOW, stirred up quite a number of huge waves in the VTuber community. This group consists of five highly talented members: Isaki Riona, Koganei Niko, Mizumiya Su, Rindo Chihaya, and Kikirara Vivi. They officially debuted on November 9th, 2024. One day before that, on November 8th, 2024, they released their first single, entitled "FG Roadster". Their coming into the limelight turns a new, active page in the history of the Hololive family, full of different personalities and different styles of artistry that capture the hearts of people.
FLOW GLOW was teased through an animated trailer that captured the essence and style of the group. It tied into the concept art from its predecessor, ReGLOSS, in continuing the DEV_IS brand. Each of these members brings something different to the table:

ReGLOSS lit up the scene in September 2023, it became the very first unit under Hololive DEV_IS. Its members including: Hiodoshi Ao, Otonose Kanade, Ichijou Ririka, Juufuutei Raden, and Todoroki Hajime, all with different backstories and unique characteristics. For Instamce:

Above all, ReGLOSS's first streams focused strongly on musical performances and character introductions that set an extremely high benchmark for any future groups included in the Hololive DEV-IS project.
Whereas both share a strong emphasis on musicality and character-driven stories, FLOW GLOW is more playful in its interactions, probably targeted towards a slightly younger audience or for audiences seeking less heavy content. For its part, ReGLOSS seems to have plunged head-first into weightier character explorations from the very beginning.
Overall, both did exceptionally well and were well-received by the fans, who love the different designs and how each adds a different back story to these units. With success considered in light of ReGLOSS, anticipation for FLOW GLOW was almost palpable. More recently, both groups took full social media advantage to build their fan bases ahead of their debut dates, building excitement and creating a sense of community interaction that is quintessential to VTuber culture.
Coming into the light as sisters with the debut of their sister group, FLOW GLOW gives respect to what ReGLOSS left behind but carves a path out for themselves in the Hololive DEV_IS universe. With distinctive, quirky individual characters and fun interactions among the members, they're surely well prepared for worldly fame. As the years will go on and each unit grows, it's going to be interesting to see how each group influences the other in this world of VTubers that is still growing.
